Galaxy S3 First hands on–Liverpool Episode!

Hi all
I promised you all a video and here it is!
While i was in Liverpool last week for the Olympic Torch Relay, I did get to spend a little quality time with Samsung’s latest device, the fantastic GALAXY S3.
This is a phone jam packed full of features, most of which I couldn’t fit into the limited time I got with it on video, however as I am following the olympic torch I will be investigating and videoing the different features this amazing handset has to offer.
In this episode I will quickly be looking at the camera (8MP rear, 1.9MP frontal), how speedy it is (due to that whopping 1.4Ghz quad core processor) and a really coooooool feature known as pop up play!
Next episode will be live after I get back from Edinburgh, let me know what you want me to cover Open-mouthed smile

Olympic Torch Relay Liverpool–RECAP

So I just thought I would update you on my latest travels! To the lovely city of Liverpool!

After spending an day travelling and eating the best Pizza-Calzone hybrid known to man myself and the other mob!lers spent some time exploring Liverpool city, check out the album below, can you spot any sights that you know?

On the day the Torch came to Liverpool I spent the day along with the other Mob!lers at the Samsung Pin Store, myself and Andrew were assigned to the Galaxy Note Studio, this is where you could get  caricature drawn by a professional artist on the Galaxy Note or a picture taken with the Torch itself. Andrew and I entertained the people standing in the queue by demoing Samsung's latest hero product, the Galaxy S3. It has some amazing features such as S Beam, S voice and ‘Pop up Play’. The crowd loved it and all reactions to the phone were positive…I also provided a few demos on the Galaxy Note, people were blown away by the formula and shape recognition productivity features.

We kept everyone up to date on twitter via the hashtag #mobilersgalaxys3 , we’ll be using this at the other dates too!

I also managed to get a few videos of the Galaxy S3 in action, I’ll be uploading them soon, keep an eye out!

Finally, I made some awesome new friends, they all had Samsung devices!!!!! Open-mouthed smile

Samsung Hope Relay!!!

Anyone fancy a bit of running? Or cycling….or even walking? Basically Samsung have released an app ready for the olympics! ITS A FANTASTIC IDEA! The basic premise is for every mile you complete, Samsung will donate £1 to charity! HOW AWESOME IS THAT!?

You use the app to create your virtual runner (you put your face on another body) and they you’re ready to go! You can join teams to raise even more money and also keep a track of your stats too! A great way to improve your fitness Open-mouthed smile

So far I’ve tested the app out using my Samsung Galaxy Note and i’ve done a little running with it, cycling and I even used it while walking around Birmingham shopping for shoes, it tracks your progress via the gps in your phone. It’s very easy to wrack up the miles and it’s for such a good cause!

Once signed up you can also expect to see your face on Samsung’s Olympic Torch Relay caravan too….this is travelling all the way around the country and the app has a useful section telling you where you’ll be able to spot your face!

Anyway I’ve attached some pictures of the app, and if you have any more questions get in touch! I’m going to get running and raising some money, you should too!

The app is currently available for download on the Google Play store, and will be available on IOS soon.

Super Amoled Vs Super IPS LCD2

Which do you prefer?

In the pictures and video the Galaxy Nexus with super amoled is on the left, the HTC one X with Super IPS LCD2 is on the right. Both are at maximum brightness. Its just an optical illusion that the Galaxy Nexus looks larger.
